Another brilliant russian artist: Демидова Наталья Юрьевна
Natalya Demidova has started as an animation artist at the animation studio “Soyuzmultfilm”, but in 2000 she left the animation field and became an illustrator.
The artwork you see in this post are her illustrations for “Kashtanka”, a book by A.P. Chechov. The method used in this art is the oils on celluloid, and every painting has been done in just one session!
Natalya’s students think that famous animator Alexander Petrov took a lot of inspiration from her work, as they have been working together at some point.
